Who We Are

Mayborn Academy was established as a private, family homeschool when our second child was born. We have made wonderful, lasting memories while home educating. We have developed a love of learning together. I have grown tremendously as a parent and caregiver while being blessed as a stay-at-home parent.

Since I was young, I’ve had a passion for education and childcare. I played "school" with my siblings even before I went to Kindergarten. I began babysitting at 13, I was a nanny during my 20's, and I worked as a home health aid for members of the I/DD community for several years. I’ve gained valuable experience and knowledge caring for others, and I am ready, willing, and able to provide your children with the care they need.

I remember well the stress and difficulty in finding quality child care while working long and unusual hours. I am able to relieve other parents of this trouble. Whether I’m providing care for a few hours or I become a more consistent presence in your child’s life, I always provide a nurturing, stable, fun, and safe experience.
